We believe in Angels.  Some have big wings and are invisible but others are special people who come into our lives.  In our 28 years of mission  work we have faced many dangers from terrorists, robbers and accidents. 
      After we were ambushed , kidnapped  and robbed  at gun point, as reported in our last news letter, one of our priest friends was afraid we would discontinue the foster program in Chimbote. He asked the Chief of Ppolice to give us police protection when working in Chimbote.  They have been very faithful in providing two policemen to meet the bus when we arrive in Chimbote and they accompany  us whenever we leave our apartment.  The police admit that Veronica takes them to the poorest barrios, that are very dangerous places, that the police normally avoid.  We also thank God for the Peruvian mission workers who accompany us in our work with the poor.
